Conservation Trips

After the success of our first conservation trip of the year we are getting excited for the next one!

For those who missed the first one, ESSS are working in Clothiers Copse - a small wood in Knightwood about 10 mins from campus. Last week we were controlling invasive species by chopping and sawing them down!

Jenny and Rebecca have been talking to Test Valley Borough Council and they have all decided to turn this into a bit of a project - so this week we are planting some species that are native to the area where the invasive species were removed.

Since last week's trip was so successful, and due to popular demand we are now able to take 30 people!

The cheapest and easiest way to get there is by taxi... as much as we would love to be able to pay for 30 people's taxis, ESSS can't afford it - so we are asking if everyone could bring £3 FOR TRANSPORT, we will cover the rest!

MANY PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR NEXT WEEK. If you haven't signed up please e-mail Jenny (ja8g12@soton.ac.uk) everyone and anyone is welcome providing there is space.

**30th October is full**

IF YOU HAVE A CAR AND ARE WILLING TO DRIVE PLEASE TELL JENNY!

MEET AT 2PM AT THE INTERCHANGE.

The next conservation trip will be on 13th November. Same time same place.
